Ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH)
Ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH): Combining the processability of ethylene polymer with the barrier effect of ethylene alcohol polymer, ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer
not only shows excellent processing performance, but also shows excellent blocking effect on gas, odor, fragrance, solvent, etc.Due to its thermal stability in combination with ethylene, multilayer containers containing EVOH barrier layers are completely reusable. It is these features that enable plastic containers containing EVOH barrier layers to replace many glass and metal containers in food packagingEVOH has been the most used material of high barrier property. The material of film type besides non stretch, and two-way stretch type, aluminum evaporation, glue coating, etc., two-way stretch type and heat type used in aseptic packaging products.
EVOH barrier performance depends on the content of ethylene in general when ethylene content, gas barrier property to drop, but easy to processing.
Application
1.EVOH high gas barrier functional resin can isolate oxygen to prevent the deterioration of content items. Therefore, EVOH is widely used in mayonnaise, ketchup and other food packaging materials. In addition, this product is also used in plastic fuel tank, whichplays a positive role in preventing the leakage of reducing the weight of the vehicle. In the construction field, it is used toreplace metal floor heating pipes, and the demand is gradually expanding in areas other than food packaging.
