Antimony trioxide (Sb2O3) is a white fine crystalline powder, commonly known as "antimony white". Antimony trioxide is mainly used as a flame retardant for various synthetic resins, rubbers, fibers, etc. In recent years, this use has accounted for more than 80% of all needs.
The remaining 20% is used for polyester polymerization catalysts, variable resistance materials, clarifiers for optical lenses, and pigments.

It has high flame retardant efficiency and little effect on the mechanical properties of the substrate. It is used as a filler and flame retardant in the rubber industry. It is used as an enamel covering agent and brightener in enamel and ceramic products. It is used as a catalyst for organic synthesis.
